Description The site of the station is a small settlement of Baniban and is surrounded by housing, but of the station there are no standing remains of the structure.  Local enquiries enabled the site to be located, a mound of rubble remains.
   
Historical account LXXXIV. Baniban Tower Station, lat. 22° 31', long. 88° 7'—observed at in 1848—is on an artificial mound in the village of that name; pargana Balia, district Hugli. The station, which is situated in a jhil, is only accessible during 3 months of the year.

The tower is 40 feet high and has markstones at top and bottom (from GTS Synopsis Volume 12, page 19).
   
Condition Demolished but location of station ‘respected’ by modern surrounding residential buildings
